School Outreach

The EWB-UK Outreach programme provides the opportunity to inform and inspire the next generation of young engineers. Through hands-on workshops in schools and youth groups, EWB-UK aims to engage young people between the age of 12-16, stimulating knowledge and awareness of development issues, and of the role that engineers can play in reducing the impact of poverty around the world. This year we have sprang into action and have personalised a presentation that will shortly be used all over the country. Join us with this exciting new project!

If any schools or organisations want to get involved please contact Kenneth MacFadyen

Water for the World at Kings Park High School
School Outreach | Kenneth MacFadyen | 8th December 2009
Our first Water for the World Presentation & Workshop went really well! We did the W4TW workshop/presentation to two out of the nine second year classes in Kings Park High School. The periods lasted fifty minutes and we managed to fit it in quite nicely! I'm quite confident that we will do it for the other seven classes if everyone is game! (We even managed to get school dinners for free if that is an incentive to join in!) We are also awaiting feedback forms from the children so I'll put the results up from this when we get them! Merry Christmas! :D
